Game On a Nation: Hip Hop Intellectual

I wanted to bring to your attention to a main stream music video from 2007 by the artist Chamillionaire. I applaud him for going toe to toe with the mass news media who is at cyclical stages always attacking Hip Hop. He was one of the few artists who stood up and attacked back. In addition, he predicted that Obama would be President.

There is so much power that we have in Hip Hop that is not being harness to the greatness of all good, which is to share our story with the world. Here is an example of using Hip Hop being used to teach, do you know the history of Muhammad Ali?

 

Props to Canadian hip hop artist Shaune Booth, which had the clever idea to do this. I bet after you watch this video you will be complied to do more with your life. That’s change we can believe in!

Again the messages that we pass on to one another can help change our lives. Some people who never really listen to Hip Hop will say that it not an art form that should be respected. But history has always shown that the current African-American Art form is not respected by the American majority until a new muscial art form is created, Jazz or Blues anyone.

I have no issue with music being entertaining and it should be. However when we are just limiting our brain growth to non-stimulating music, movies, and games we will become limited thinkers. In order to sharpen your critical reasoning skills you must read books to obtain these various ideas. Once you gain theses ideas it will help you form new and greater ideas to add to the discussion. In short, "Read A Book".
